Wood Fibre Insulation

Wood fibre insulation is a type of insulation made from natural wood fibres, typically from softwood trees such as spruce and pine. The fibres are processed, typically through mechanical refining and bonding with natural binders or adhesives, into panels or rolls that can be used to insulate walls, roofs, floors, and other areas of a building.

One of the main advantages of wood fibre insulation is its environmental friendliness, as it is made from renewable resources and has a low carbon footprint compared to other insulation materials. It is also non-toxic and can be easily recycled or disposed of at the end of its useful life.

Wood fibre insulation has good thermal insulation properties, helping to keep buildings warm in the winter and cool in the summer. It also has good acoustic insulation properties, reducing noise transmission from outside or between rooms.

Installation of wood fibre insulation is typically done by placing the panels or rolls between studs or joists, or by adhering them directly to the surface to be insulated. It can be used in both new construction and retrofitting of existing buildings.

Wood fibre insulation is a sustainable and effective insulation material that offers a range of benefits for both the environment and building occupants.
