Tapered Edge Insulated Plasterboard
Tapered edge plasterboard is used when the plan is to joint or skim the board for an invisible seam. Jointing and skimming are the most popular methods for installing plasterboards in a domestic residence because they provide an invisible seam. The tapered edge of each plasterboard means that when pushed together there’s a small groove between the boards where jointing or skimming compounds can fill in the gaps.
Tapered edge plasterboards are most commonly manufactured in 1200mm widths to suit the 600mm stud spacing, which is common in domestic housing. Gyproc, Knauf and Kingspan are the most popular brands of tapered-edge plasterboard here at Insulation Superstore. So, head on over to our helpline for support from our excellent customer service.
