This versatile SureTwist bar can be used in a variety of applications, from new builds to specialised refurbishments of apartment or historic buildings, bridges and more. It is compatible with various building materials, including autoclave (aircrete), wood, stone, brick and concrete. Its SureTwist Profile is specially designed for structural reinforcement.
From the Thick Core (TC) range of sections, this SureTwist bar has improved performance in shear and compressive loads, helping to prevent deflection and bending over a longer fixing distance. It is ideal for projects that require a more robust reinforcement system, and you can be sure your structure will remain strong and stable.
With an understanding of the importance of safety, SureTwist has induced tension through the helical section via a twisting motion during the manufacturing process. This tension ensures that any impurities in the raw material are detected, and any inferior materials are discarded. This process guarantees the safety of this SureTwist bar and gives you peace of mind.
Manufactured from 304-grade austenitic stainless steel, the core of this SureTwist bar remains relatively soft while the fins are rolled from a plain round wire and work-hardened to a very high level. The subsequent twisting process puts the fins into tension and the core into compression, resulting in more than double the tensile strength of the base material. Additionally, the pronounced fins over the core make the bonding characteristics of the SureTwist Profile far superior to alternative standard reinforcing materials.
