Suited to a wide range of applications, SureTwist bars are versatile. They are compatible with new builds and for a range of specialised refurbishments requirements, including apartment buildings, historic buildings and bridges. Also for use with building materials such as concrete, brick, stone, wood, autoclave (aircrete), and others, the SureTwist Profile is employable for structural reinforcement or anchorage fixings.
As a means of ensuring the products safety, tension is induced through the helical section by the twisting motion during manufacturing. This allows for a safer product as it puts the fins in tension and the core in compression, meaning that any impurities in the raw material can be spotted and any inferior materials can be discarded. The manufacturing process more than doubles the base material's tensile strength and pronounced fins over the core supply superior bonding characteristics to the SureTwist Profile compared to conventional reinforcing materials.
To enhance the effectiveness of the fixing and anchorage systems, Thick Core (TC) range of sections was developed. The TC range boasts superior performance in both shear and compressive loads, mitigating the risk of deflection and bending over an extended fixing distance.
The SureTwist Helical Anchorage System is an ideal solution. SureTwist is made of austenitic stainless steel, Grade 1.4301 or 1.4401 - DIN EN 10088 Part 3 (1995), AISI - 304 or 316, reinforcing material with unique properties (or 8.8 High Tensile Steel for specific applications). Its fins are work-hardened to a high level, while the core is relatively soft due and it has been rolled from plain round wire.
