Designed to provide excellent airborne and impact sound insulation for existing timber floors, this Acoustic Deck 33 is a premium overlay board that substantially diminishes sound transmission through your timber floors.
Offering one of the fastest and most effective acoustic solutions, this 33mm thick acoustic deck delivers exceptional performance while minimising construction height and meeting statutory regulations. It comprises 18mm thick P5 flooring grade tongue & groove (T&G) chipboard laminated to an acoustic resilient layer, consisting of a weight-enhanced barrier mat and acoustic foam. The chipboard top surface is immediately ready for final floor installation.
This JCW Acoustic Deck overlay system is known as a Robust Details FFT5 Resilient overlay shallow platform floor system and complies with Part E of the Building Regulations. It meets the Robust Details performance targets for new build timber frame construction and must be used in conjunction with JCW Perimeter Edging Strip to ensure compliance with Building Regulations.
Overlaying your floor with an isolating layer and new hard-wearing surface is the most convenient way to drastically improve the impact and airborne sound performance of your existing floor.
