A green alternative to other insulation solutions, Thermafleece's NatraHemp is a medium-density insulation rich in home-grown hemp fibres. It is a safe, efficient and durable alternative when plant fibre is the preferred choice. Designed to fit securely between rafters, studs and joists while providing superb thermal insulation performance, Thermafleece NatraHemp can also provide a good level of acoustic insulation (density of 28 kg/m³) in various systems.

Suitable for various applications including lofts and warm roofs, timber frames and interior solid walls and between floors and suspended ground floors.

Made from environmentally friendly, fast-growing natural hemp, this low-impact crop produces fine fibres that make it a suitable insulating material. It is harmless to handle and can be installed without the need for gloves or protective clothing. If you need to cut the slabs to size, Thermafleece NatraHemp can be cut using a straight edge and a sharp-bladed Stanley knife or simply tearing it apart.

Please note:

  • Deliveries to the postcodes AB, IV, KW, PH, PA, HS, KA, ZE and to ROI/NI may incur additional delivery charges.
  • Although harmless and suitable for installation without the use of gloves and other protective clothing, it is recommended you wear a dust mask if working in enclosed spaces, such as lofts.
  • Protect the insulation from prolonged exposure to sunlight when unpacked and avoid wetting for extended periods. Store it under cover and clear of the ground.

Is it naturally flame retardant?

Answer:

While not flame retardant, it has does have fire classification like all insulation products which is the following, note that this isn't a reflection of its combustibility, only that it has been fire tested to a building standard and passed.
