Compatible with masonry, brick, and solid wall applications, this Steico Therm Internal Woodfibre Internal Insulation Board is crafted from natural wood fibres. It has a lighter side and a darker side: the light side has been machine sanded in the factory and is the plaster-carrying face, while the darker side is not sanded.
Both easy and quick to fix, this board is high in compression strength and offers superior insulating properties through summer and winter. It is also water vapour open so that water vapour can pass through it. This aids in regulating indoor climates. When houses are built with lime mortar, this can be an important factor when deciding on insulation materials.

What adhesive would you use to fix to bare stone?
Answer:
For something like this, adhesive wouldn't be recommended for fixing this product to a stone wall at all.
My suppliers for this product in particular recommend the use of Mechanical Fixings (Screws) to be used, as they are secure enough to keep the boards in place safely.
Question:
Can I use this in place of Chipboard etc for boarding my loft? Is it strong enough to take a person's weight?
Answer:
I would not recommend the use of these to take weight in any form, I would still recommend them to go between the joists, and still board over the top of the joists with Ply. These Steico Therm boards are not designed to be load bearing.
