Product Description

Saint Gobain's Weberend Aid is a polymer-modified sand and cement stipple render. It is to be used as a preparatory key coat before the application of render. Weberend Aid includes a bonding agent which only requires clean water to be added on site and it can be applied using a hawk and trowel.

Weberend Aid is to be used prior to the application of render, onto either a smooth or unsuitable but sound surface, such as;

  • Dense concrete
  • Brickwork
  • Blockwork
  • Masonry
  • Clean, sound and well adhered existing render (<19mm)

Weberend Aid is the perfect pre-treatment for render which is required to resist severe exposure conditions. As described in BS EN 13914-1:2016, this is a proprietary mix which has been designed to be used as an adhesive stipple pre-treatment.

Application

  • Don’t apply to gypsum plaster or previously painted surfaces
  • For applications where the codes of practice recommend sulphate resistance, use only the sulphate-resistant cement formulation
  • Don’t use if frost is forecast within 24 hours of use
  • Don’t use in damp or wet conditions
  • Don’t use in temperatures below 5°C or above 30°C
  • This is not suitable for use on elevations in direct sunlight or where the substrate is hot
  • When stored correctly and unopened, shelf life is 12 months from date of manufacture

Please note, bulk returns are not accepted so it is advised to order a small sample order to ensure it meets your requirements.
