Find out moreLightweight and easy to cut to shape with a sharp knife, ROCKWOOL Insulation Slabs need no maintenance post-installation. They are a cost-effective way of achieving excellent thermal, acoustic, and fire insulation while being both water-repellent and durable.
The ROCKWOOL RW Slab range (semi-rigid and rigid) includes high-quality resin-bonded slabs for general building applications. They come in various thicknesses and densities and are CE marked to EN 13162.
ROCKWOOL stone wool products reduce noise in two separate ways: they impede sound transmission through an element of the structure or absorb sound at the surface. Slab structures make fantastic sound absorbers due to the characteristically high coefficients over a broad range of frequencies.
Products obtain A1 classifications in accordance with BS EN 13501-1, regardless of whether they are un-faced or have aluminium foil or glass fleeces on one or all surfaces. In turn, they meet the requirements of non-combustible materials/products to UK and Ireland Building Regulations.
Question:
is this fire rated?
Answer:
Yes, the ROCKWOOL RWA45 Acoustic Insulation Slab is fire rated. It has an A1 classification to BS EN 13501-1, which is the highest classification and means it's non-combustible. You can find more information about its fire performance in the Safety Data Sheet, which you can access by clicking here.
