ProofTherm Breathable Lightweight Insulation Render & Plaster is the original award-winning solution for improving thermal performance whilst maintaining exceptional breathability. Formulated with expanded Perlite and a lime binder, it is uniquely designed for renovation projects where traditional insulation systems may not be suitable. Its vapour-open composition allows moisture to escape naturally, helping to reduce the risk of damp and mould while creating a healthier indoor environment, perfect for the British weather.

Suitable for both internal and external walls, it offers an impressive thermal conductivity value of 0.058w/mK, helping improve comfort and reduce heating costs. Lightweight and easy to apply, it's a cost-effective solution for breathable wall insulation, no matter if your property is old or new.

Coverage

Approx. 2m2 coverage per bag at 20mm depth.

Application

Before application, ensure surfaces are clean, stable and free from loose material, with any damaged areas repaired. Painted surfaces should be lightly scratched to improve adhesion, and ProofBase Universal Primer applied by brush or roller to reduce suction and create a strong bonding surface.
Mix each 15kg bag of ProofTherm with approximately 15 litres of clean water using a slow-speed electric mixer until a thick, creamy consistency is achieved. The render can be applied by hand or machine in layers up to 15mm thick at a time, smoothing with a straight edge for an even finish. Additional layers can be added after at least 4 hours drying time, up to a maximum depth of 10cm.
