ProofBase Universal Primer is a highly breathable acrylic dispersion primer used to create the ideal base for ProofTherm insulating render systems and other breathable wall coatings. Formulated to improve chemical and mechanical adhesion, it helps prepare substrates prior to rendering or plastering while maintaining excellent vapour permeability. The inclusion of quartz aggregate provides a textured surface that allows renders and plasters to bond securely for a more durable finish.
Essential for controlling suction on dry or porous surfaces, this universal primer is superb for preventing renders from drying too quickly, reducing the risk of cracking and weak adhesion. It also acts as a barrier between different substrates, stabilising dusty surfaces for better performance.
