This enhanced JCW Acoustic Silent Board Acoustic Wall Liner is a cost saving, energy-efficient acoustic insulation board applied directly to stud or masonry walls. It comprises a 15mm acoustic resilient layer alongside a 12.5mm acoustic plasterboard layer.
Even though it's only 32.5mm thick, this Silent Board wall liner provides a considerable airborne noise reduction of up to 45dB, which is more than enough for domestic as well as a range of commercial applications. Its relative thinness means it doesn't take up too much of the available floor space, making it a highly convenient, compact solution.
Additionally, this Silent Board acoustic wall liner doesn't require any studwork, and you can decorate the plasterboard-faced wall liner board directly. It is fire retardant and compliant with Part E Building Regulations, so you know it's safe. What's more, it's environmentally friendly, as it's made from 100% recycled materials.

how is this fixed to the wall?
Answer:
Silent Board Plus is bonded to the wall using JCW Approved Bonding Adhesive. The adhesive should be applied to the rubber resilient layer in a 'snake method.' (Approx 1 tube per 1.5 boards)
