Question:
How is it fixed down or is it floating - can it handle 2-3mm gradual change in timber floor levels - i.e. the floor is not perfectly level. Existing flooring is chipboard on joists.
Answer:
The GYPDECK 28 Dry Screed Acoustic Floor Panel is typically installed by laying it onto the existing subfloor. As for your question about handling a 2-3mm gradual change in timber floor levels, the screed material is capable of accommodating minor irregularities in the subfloor. However, for best results, it's generally recommended that the subfloor be as level as possible before installation. If the subfloor has significant unevenness or is not perfectly level, it may be necessary to use a self-levelling compound prior to the installation of the GYPDECK panels. This will ensure the best performance and longevity of your acoustic floor panel. For more detailed instructions on how to install the GYPDECK 28 Dry Screed Acoustic Floor Panel, you can refer to the technical information document available here. Please note that it's always best to consult with a professional installer or contact Resonate Systems directly for specific installation guidance for your situation.

Question:
Hi I hope you're well? I was wondering if it would be possible to request a sample of Gypdeck 18? I'm looking to reduce impact noise only on wooden floorboards in an upstairs room. There is a lot of storage in the room which weighs a fair amount itself so I am looking for reasonably lightweight impact sound insulation that functions well even when compressed in some areas. Would Gypdeck 18 be the best product for this situation? Thanks so much, Charlie
