What is the best method for fixing the encapsulated pads to the ceiling tiles? Are they simply laid on top or taped in place?

Answer:

They are simply just laid on top as there is no securement required for this product. 

Question:

Can these be fitted by anyone or do you need a professional to fit them? Do they need to be stuck down?

Answer:

Encapsulated ceiling pads can be fitted by anyone competent at doing so, but be aware that they would most likely be working at height, and the pads can be loose laid on top of the ceiling tiles too.
