Intended for installation on concrete, steel, or timber separating floors, this DECKfon Acoustic Batten 70 offers exceptional soundproofing capabilities. The acoustic batten is composed of a layer of flexible, low-resonance, open-cell polyurethane foam that is made from recycled materials and bonded to an FSC-certified timber batten.
Thoroughly tested, this board is fully compliant with robust details for steel, concrete, and timber separating floors. Alongside its great soundproofing properties, DECKfon Batten 70 also delivers a larger void space for services.
Compatible with all types of floors, acoustic battens are a highly effective soundproofing solution. Installations on a timber sub-deck or directly onto a concrete floor then have a layer of chipboard placed on top of the battens to create a level floor that can be finished with carpet, laminate, or other flooring materials. To further improve the soundproofing performance, mineral wool is often added between the joists when installed on a timber floor. It's also possible to incorporate underfloor heating systems within the setup.
