Question:
Is this product suitable to use to form ceilings? I would like to replace my exisitng plasterboard suspended ceiling with this, and fill the shallow void above (between the soundbloc plasterboard and the concrete floor-slab of the flat above) with Rockwool).
Answer:
The product is suitable to be used in ceiling applications like traditional plasterboard.
Question:
Would this product effectively sound proof a room if used on its own or would it just reduce sound.
Answer:
For an Acoustic based Plasterboard, this would only help reduce the amount of noise heard. For better results, you would use this in conjunction with other sound reduction products. If you are looking to sound-proof an area, you would need to enlist the help of a specialist.
