Actis Multifoil Insulation

Actis Insulation focusses on creating high performance multifoil insulation with importance placed on airtightness and long-lasting effect. Actis Hybris, Actis Triso Super 10 Plus, Actis H Control and Actis Boost R all combine thermal efficiency with airtightness to provide excellent thermal conductivity for a variety of building applications.

Actis Hybris

Actis Hybris is Actis Insulation’s unique thermal and acoustic insulation product that utilizes a honeycomb structure to perform. It doesn’t compact over time so it will last as long as you need it to, giving u-values of at least 0.26 W/m2K thanks to low emissivity cavities within the honeycomb structure. Applicable in timber frame and masonry walls, Actis Hybris comes highly recommended for pitched roof and ceiling applications given it’s lightweight and airtight properties.

To find an insulation solution utilizing Actis Insulation products then use their Solution Optimizer and Path Finder to match your build-up to an insulation combination. This will show you the u-values you can achieve. For example, 120mm of Actis Hybris in a timber frame wall with 140mm x 50mm timber and 600mm centers will yield 0.26 W/m2K.

Actis Triso Super 10 Plus

Actis Triso Super 10 Plus is the thinnest Actis multifoil insulation product widely available on the market. The ultra-thin multifoil insulation has been tested under real life in-situ positions has the 35mm insulation product performs to the same level as 210mm of mineral wool. Airtight, watertight and water vapour resistant, Actis Triso Super 10 Plus can be used to minimise the height of build-ups, saving space.

Not only does Actis Triso Super 10 Plus give 0.04 W/mK thermal conductivity it also performs as a vapour barrier, not letting in cold air and preventing warm air from escaping. The combination of vapour barrier, air tightness and effective insulation makes this product a favourite amongst DIYers, small builders and even large scale residential contractors.

Actis Boost R and Actis H Control

Actis Boost R can be used on the cold side of building fabric in walls and roofs to reduce the amount of time taken to install whilst at the same time minimizing thickness of the build-up when used in conjuction with other types of insulation, such as insulated plasterboard. There’s no compromise since you don’t increase the thickness of the insulation materials you need or risk your good thermal conductivity.

Actis H Control is similar to Boost R in that in minimizes the thickness of insulation and reduces installation time however Actis H Control is to be installed on the warm side of insulation material behind the internal finish in walls, roofs and ceilings.
