SuperFOIL SF60 FR is a fire-rated version of SuperFOIL’s ever-popular SF60 multifoil. It has all of the great qualities people love from SF60, including a reflective radiant barrier and excellent thermal properties, just with the added addition of being more resistant to fire and flame.
At 100mm thickness this fire resistant multifoil is Class 0 Fire Propagation certified and Class 1 Surface Spread of Flame certification. These two elements mean that this multifoil will help to protect your structure from the spread of fire, growth of fire and from the heat generated by a fire.
When pairning this fire resistant multifoil with a range of other insulation products you can hit fantastic thermal performance values, contributing to lower bills and lower impact on the environment. This is also aided by the makeup of SF60 FR, it’s made from up to 40% recycled materials.
Please note, a Class 0 fire rating can be achieved when using this product in conjunction with the SuperFOIL Superior Foil Tape.

Answer:
To maintain the tested fire rating of the SuperFOIL FR range of products, SuperFOIL Superior Tape should be used. SuperFOIL Superior Tape also provides high strength and enhanced adhesive which allows it to be used even in cold weather.

Answer:
We recommend using a minimum 40mm staples for use with SuperFOIL SF60FR. The staples should be adequate size to hold the SuperFOIL in place until your battens are fitted forming the permanent fixing.

Minimum of 63mm depth battens to allow the material to expand fully and maintain the required airspace for full thermal performance.
