SF19BB is SuperFOIL’s first fully breathable insulation for use in roofs and walls. It is a high performance and very competitive breathable insulation. SF19BB's new construction and design outperform other manufacturers with its excellent R value of R 2.53 for a wall and R2.22 for a roof.
Breathable Insulations save on time and materials by providing both the secondary rain barrier breathable membrane and insulation at the same time, this can reduce installation time and save on extra battens.
Benefiting from advanced sonic construction techniques and advanced lamination developments and nano technology. SF19BB is creating better options for solutions as low as U0.10. SF19BB comes in new convenient rolls that are 1.5m wide by 10m long, of 15 square meters.

Question:
we have 100mm celotex in the ceiling and been told to use 45mm celotex backed plasterboard as well would this superfoil replace celotex in this instance and give the same insulation? also can it be used on internal walls behind plasterboard to aid insulation?
Answer:
This is a breathable foil insulation so while it will provide benefit, it will not function as an insulated plasterboard replacement. It is used in place of breathable membranes as the outermost layer rather than in internal walls.
Question:
Which way up should Superfoil SF19BB be installed? Should the foil side up, or file side down? This is for a reroof and the Superfoil will go on top of the rafters and under battens and tiles.
Answer:
For this product, you get two different sides, one that is dull in appearance and one side that is shiny and reflective. When installing this, the dull side would need to face outwards, and the shiny side facing inwards.
Question:
Would this be suitable for insulating an unheated shed what will have electrical equipment?
Answer:
Providing that you have the suitable membranes in place before hand, then yes you would be able to use this type of insulation, and I would recommend stapling this direct to the battens/joists, and some foil tape to join the overlaps.
Question:
What tape should be used with SuperFOIL SF19BB?
Answer:
SuperFOIL SF19BB includes an extra 100mm overlap on the outer breather membrane. This overlap has integrated double-sided tape to create an airtight seal of joints. If additional tape is required for cuts, and edges etc, we recommend SuperFOIL Double Sided Butly Overlap Tape for it's high strength and enhanced adhesive which allows it to be used even in cold weather.
Question:
What size Staples do I need to fix SuperFOIL SF19BB?
Answer:
We recommend using a minimum 14mm staples for use with SuperFOIL SF19BB. The staples should be adequate size to hold the SuperFOIL in place until your battens are fitted forming the permanent fixing.
Question:
What size Battens should I use with SuperFOIL SF19BB?
Answer:
Minimum of 38mm depth battens to allow the material to expand fully and maintain the required airspace for full thermal performance.
