Description

This reflective vapour control layer from Novia provides a low vapour permeability solution while helping to prevent interstitial condensation issues. It is highly reflective and offers greatly enhanced R and U-values when properly installed.

This airtight vapour control membrane can also be used as an air leakage barrier and is suitable for use in insulated wall, floor and roof applications, requiring excellent moisture resistance. Delivering a fully airtight seal, this reflective vapour control layer can be fitted with the Novia dual tape sealing system.

There are many factors that effect the choice of VCL, Novia VC2, Novia 500 and Novia 1000 are all possible solutions but check with us or your architect for full guidance.

Answer:

Yes all Novia VCLs are airtight. The joints and overlaps must be taped to maintain a completely airtight installation.

Do I need tapes with a VCL?

Answer:

Tapes are an essential part of ensuring a VCL is air and moisture tight. Without sealing tapes a VCL would leak and be ineffective.

Question:

Do Novia VCLs have certification?

Answer:

Yes, all Novia VCLs are manufactured to strict BS EN 13984 requirements, which is vital when looking at polythene based VCLs.
