With good fire resistance and simple and economic on-site handling, Steico Protect DRY is a natural render/plaster carrying wood fibre insulation board. Manufactured to meet EN 13171, the board is equipped with a tongue and groove profile for airtightness and is ideal for both new build or renovation applications.
The board is ideal as external sheathing for timber frame constructions and for direct masonry applications in external wall insulation where the board has render directly applied. It is also suitable for use as an internal plaster carrying board that is directly fixed to timber frames without supporting backer boards needed.
The sustainable and FSC certified board minimises thermal bridging, delivers extra insulation on the external façade, and enhances the structure's acoustic performance. Architects and designers often utilise Protect DRY boards in specific building installations and alongside an independently specified finish or render system.
