MiHome Smart Plug Starter Pack contains the MiHome Gateway that you need to control the plugs as well as three plug control adapters. In this pack you get the MiHome Gateway which is the bridge between your MiHome devices and the internet and phone app. MiHome Gateway plugs into your router using a simple ethernet cable to enable smart home features including MiHome Smart Thermostat, MiHome Smart Radiator Valves and all MiHome smart home devices.
The MiHome Gateway sends commands to the plugs so you can set timers to activate the plugs as well as turn them on and off at your convenience from the app or MiHome web browser. Sockets are compatible too with IFTTT so for example you can ask IFTTT to turn on plugs for lamps at sunset, making your set up energy efficient as well as convenient.
