Suretherm Anti-Condensation Paint can be painted over block, plaster, brick and render just like any other standard decorative paint, however this paint reduces condensation formation. Its unique and complex-blend is independently tested to certify that this anti-condensation paint won’t allow black mould, which is unsightly and potentially harmful to residents, to grow.
The glass microspheres in the paint are ‘charged’ like a battery which prompts them to retain heat for longer than usual, in comparison to standard decorative paints. Since Suretherm anti-condensation paint maintains the surface temperature on the walls and ceilings it’s painted onto, it has some insulating properties too. This makes Suretherm anti-condensation paint perfect for walls or ceilings that are cold or exposed, with little or no insulation.
Suretherm anti-condensation paint should be applied with just two coats! Once the coats are dry, the paint can be painted over with standard emulsion or they can be covered in wallpaper to achieve any desired finish. Suretherm anti-condensation paint is white in colour, so it’s not unsightly and won’t cause any issues with emulsion or wallpaper over the top.
There’s minimum preparation needed when using Suretherm anti-condensation paint. Just be sure that surfaces are clean, dry and free of debris. When the surface is ready, paint a single layer, allow 2 hours for it to be touch dry, after a further two hours, apply the final coat. Once this coat is dry the paint can be decorated over however.
