This JCW Sound Insulation Board is a hardwearing and durable product that features a cement particle based board layer and provides exceptional Soundboard 28 Plus sound reduction. A great decking solution, it has been crafted for use as a floating overlay floor supported on decking.

Ideal for timber floor structures, Soundboard 28 Plus is suitable for all floor types and is often seen as the solution of choice for new or refurbished developments. With a 28mm thickness, this acoustic decking solution minimises construction height while still complying with statutory building regulations.

The product consists of an 18mm tongue and grooved cement particle board that is laminated to a 10mm acoustic resilient layer, resulting in high-performance impact and airborne sound reduction. Additionally, Soundboard 28 Plus is suitable for underfloor heating and can be used with conventional timber joists, I-joists, and metal web joists, as well as on conversion projects.

Whether you're embarking on a new build or undertaking refurbishments where floor height is a problem, Soundboard 28 Plus is the perfect single layer acoustic overlay treatment for your needs. It's economical and easy to fit, and its cement particle board is ready for final floor installation.
