Installation of the Armaflex Ultima Pipe Insulation Self Seal is a breeze, thanks to its pre-slit design and adhesive strips. This feature helps close the gap around the pipe, speeding up the installation process significantly.
The blue elastomeric foam, Armaflex Ultima, was launched in 2012 and has a smoke density that is incredibly low, making it an essential component in improving fire safety for buildings. Additionally, it fulfils sustainable building requirements, including LEED certification criteria. To ensure reliable installation, adhesives that work specifically with Armaflex Ultima are available, such as the solvent and VOC-free Armaflex Ultima SF990 Adhesive.
If trapped in a fire, it is crucial to find escape routes promptly and this is only attainable with minimal smoke development. The new European fire classification considers this when testing building product's smoke density and production of burning droplets. Armaflex Ultima is the initial flexible insulation to attain fire class BL-s1, d0 (for tubes) and B-s2, d0 (for sheets above 10mm thick) in European fire tests.
