Available here for single-gang boxes at internal sockets, this innovative putty pad remains malleable, with its composition of non-setting flexible silicone-based intumescent polymer.
If temperature hits 200°C, putty pads will activate and restrict the passing of smoke and fire in accordance with the relevant acoustic and fire ratings in the 2006 edition of the Building Regulations
(approved document part E and B, sections 7 and 7.12 b).
