Description

This Knauf slab is a non-hygroscopic, rot-proof, and odourless option, as well as free of ozone-depleting substances and greenhouse gases. Due to it being non-combustible with a Euroclass A1 rating for fire reaction, it negates the need for cavity barriers as the likelihood of fire spreading through the cavity is minimal.

DriTherm® Cavity Slabs are created using Knauf Insulation's exclusive bio-based binder, ECOSE® Technology. Their design will not transmit water to the inner leaf, nor will it allow moisture transmission from below the damp proof course level or via capillary action throughout the cavity. Approval from the British Board of Agrément (BBA) deems these slabs acceptable for use in a variety of exposure zones, even more severe areas.

Compared to rigid boards and other insulants, the installation of DriTherm® Cavity Slabs is considerably simpler. Their adaptable material can compensate for slight substrate imperfections and knits together to minimise air gaps, boosting performance. These lightweight slabs are an ideal size for a secure fit between wall ties and handling them is a breeze. The need for retaining discs is therefore eliminated.
