This JCW Acoustic Isolating Strip System is an effective solution designed to prevent sound transfer through party or partitioning walls in all forms of construction where there is any point of contact. It is suitable for floors joists, party and partition walls, change of use/refurbishments and new builds.
This JCW Acoustic Isolation Strip is made to order in a 10m roll, cut to a 100mm width and is manufactured from 5mm thick recycled rubber, making it an environmentally friendly choice. Typically, it can be used to isolate a metal-framed or timber stud wall from the structure by inserting the strip between your wall, floor and/or ceiling and new wall construction.
For DIY or single dwellings, this JCW Isolation Strip can be positioned on top of the joists to isolate the floor deck. Additionally, it should be placed around the wall perimeter to isolate the skirting boards from the decking and the floor deck from the wall edges.
