Description

For use with JCW Acoustics' acoustic batten levelling cradles, this box includes 250 JCW pads that have 10mm thicknesses. They are designed to form a support base for the cradle system on concrete floors. The recycled rubber tyre structures absorb a portion of the weight-bearing-induced impact noise that moves from the timber deck to the plastic cradle system bottom.

With up to a 28-decibel decrease in impact and airborne noise, JCW Acoustic's acoustic batten levelling cradles consist of recycled materials. They accommodate up to 40mm wide battens and let you level concrete floors that are uneven, stepped or cambered. When cradles and battens are positioned as desired, the build-up delivers a level surface for timber deck installations.

When in a full soundproofing system with JCW acoustic products, they are ideal for various applications, such as office floors, apartment buildings and schools where a surplus of sound travels between rooms. Sounds are easily absorbed to create quiet settings. The batten levelling cradles also create a space for unnoticed services and accessible maintenance. Water pipes, electrical wiring and more can be laid underneath the timber deck. Cradle and riser combinations allow varied steps and heights.

Standards & Certification

  • Building Regulations: System Compliance with Approved Document E (England and Wales) can be shown by Pre-Completion Testing on-site and Section 5 (Scotland) can be shown by Performance Testing of the system on-site. 

Please note:

  • Cradles should be spaced at 400mm batten centres with each cradle accepting four batten ends for effective support. If greater weight loads such as kitchen appliances are being supported, batten centres are best at 300mm and cross battens should be implemented.
