Find out moreReady to use internally and externally, this Black Jack Damp Proof Liquid Membrane is an odourless, rubber enriched bitumen emulsion. It is designed to deliver an effective sandwich damp-proof membrane for floors and can be used as a curing agent for concrete.
This membrane also waterproofs walls, above ground structures and foundations, and makes a good adhesive for wood blocks, mosaic panels, insulation boards, expanded polystyrene and cork. Likewise, you can further use it as a plaster bonding agent on difficult surfaces like glazed tiles.

Question:
I have an old concrete floor with cork tiles laid on it. Can I use black jack straight onto the old cork tiles and thw put a PE membrane over that prior to laying a new wood floor ?
Answer:
The Black Jack Damp Proof Liquid Membrane is designed to be applied directly to solid surfaces such as concrete or masonry and it's recommended to remove existing coverings for best results. Applying the product directly onto old cork tiles may not provide the desired damp proofing effect. After the Damp Proof Liquid Membrane is applied and dried, you can add the PE membrane and then lay your new wood floor. For more detailed technical information, you can refer to the product's Technical Information document. If you have more specific questions or concerns, I recommend reaching out to the product's manufacturer, EVERBUILD, or a flooring installation professional.
Question:
can I paint this onto exterior painted render
Answer:
You can apply Black Jack liquid DPM to exterior render, but only if the existing paint is firmly bonded, clean, and not flaking, because the membrane won’t adhere properly to weak or chalky coatings. For a reliable seal, most installers either remove loose paint or key the surface first so the membrane can grip
