Designed and manufactured in the UK, Breathaplasta is a high performance lime plaster that's quick setting, breathable and provides superior thermal performance and improved acoustic insulation to your walls, whilst being an environmentally friendly product. Suitable for a wide range of substrates including masonry and plasterboard, Breathaplasta offers a range of natural lime plaster finishes from smooth lime plaster skim applications to textured finishes and super-textured feature walls.
The dry mixture is made up of blended lime plaster with fine grade hemp shiv biomaterial. This biomaterial regulates and reduces airborne moisture and increases the surface temperature of the walls, saving money on heating. By reducing airborne moisture, Breathaplasta reduces the risk of condensation and mould, therefore improving the overall air quality indoors.
Whether your project is a new build or you wish to refurbish a listed building, Breathaplasta will provide you with an easy solution to creating a comfortable and healthy living or working area.
Please note, at least two coats are required for all applications. Also, a primer may be required for specialist plasterboards such as moisture resistant board and fireboard.
To mix Breathaplasta, add 1 x 20kg bag of Breathaplasta to approximately 10-11 litres of clean water. Then, using a paddle mixer, mix for at least 60 seconds. Once this has been done, use the mixed plaster immediately.
