Delivering outstanding thermal and acoustic performance, this Knauf Earthwool Flexible Slab is a versatile solution for a wide range of constructions such as timber frame walls, suspended timber floors and timber and metal stud partitions.
Specifically created for friction-fitted installations between joists, studs and rafters, this Earthwool slab is a flexible, multi-purpose, non-combustible, rock mineral wool insulation. With zero Ozone Depletion Potential and zero Global Warming Potential, it is not known to pose a threat to the environment. Rot-proof, odourless and non-hygroscopic, this Earthwool Flexible Slab will not support the growth of mould, fungi or bacteria and does not sustain vermin. Providing negligible resistance to the passage of water vapour, it has a 5.00MNs/gm water vapour resistivity.
Light in weight and straightforward to handle and install, this Earthwool Slab is easy to cut to size where required. It is supplied in polythene packs which are fabricated for short-term protection only. For longer-term protection on-site, it should not be left permanently exposed to the elements and either be stored inside or under cover and off the ground.
