Product Description

ProSound™ SoundMat 3 plus is one of our bestselling thin floor soundproofing mats, which provides a high level of soundproofing for impact noise and airborne noise. Having undergone many design improvements since 2009, when it revolutionized the industry with the bonding of different materials together. The current version offers the industry’s highest performing 15mm soundproofing mat with a mass of 19kg per m2.

The SoundMat 3 plus utilises two different soundproofing technologies, laminated together for easy installation. The completed floor offers exceptional performance and exceeds the new Building Regulations Part E target of 49dB when used as part of a system.

Due to the unique three layer construction of the SoundMat 3 Plus is made up of a 9mm high impact closed cell acoustic foam, which absorbs vibrations before it can transfer through to the timber floor. This is laminated to a 3mm and 3mm SoundBarrier Mat (7.5kg mass loaded vinyl) which has the same mass and density as lead and is exceptionally efficient at blocking airborne noise. The result is the most cost effective thin soundproofing mat on the market.

Great stuff, used older and cheaper versions of this before on studio floors to block sound but this is the best.
