Description

From Roofing Superstore, these SBS Fast-Torch Plus torch-on roofing membranes are a range of high-performance bituminous membranes. Their design is specific for the professional roofer looking for the best performance, combined with easy application. Its high elasticity makes it perfect for all structures, particularly those subject to dimensional variations and wherever elasticity and resistance are required.

Also part of the elastomeric range of membranes, the reinforcement used represents the latest in membrane technology. When correctly installed, they can satisfy the waterproofing requirement of the most demanding specification. It is also an isotropic, thermally bonded, and rot-proof non-woven spun-bond polyester carrier, which gives the product excellent mechanical characteristics and stability.

Application

1. The deck surface should be prepared correctly (all debris removed).
2. The surface should be coated with bitumen primer.
3. The rolls should be aligned, with lap joints of at least 8.5cm.
4. The membrane should be applied with an appropriate propane gas torch.
5. The end laps should be melted and refinished with a heated towel (the lap should be 10cm).
6. If the bituminous membrane is not protected with chippings, coat it with sintal aluminium paint.

Please note:

Store rolls upright and in a space shielded from sunlight within a temperature range of 0°C to 40°C.
Keep away from heat sources and electrical equipment.
No anti-static measures are necessary.
Ensure access to firefighting equipment.
