An impermeable and heavy-duty HR roofing underlay, the Glidevale Protect A1 T3 is designed to address the drawbacks of conventional Type 1F and 5U felts and second-generation plastic sheet materials. Its four-ply structure comprises durability and the non-slip reinforcing grid on the upper surface provides exceptional resistance against damage.
This roofing underlay offers excellent protection against wind-driven rain and snow, serving as an effective secondary line of defence. Additionally, since it is completely waterproof, it can be utilised as a temporary roof covering during the installation of the final roof covering. It also features an absorbent under surface that reduces condensate drip-off.
Alongside excellent nail tear and tensile strength, this underlay is UV and heat stable. It also has unrestricted use for wind uplift in all exposure conditions in the UK and Ireland. It is suited to use in zones 1-5 at 345mm batten gauge and can be cut, handled and installed with ease while remaining unchanged by alternating temperatures.
