This Double Bubble UFoil Insulation is constructed from one layer of polyethylene bubble and aluminium to both faces. Suited to use in roof, walls and floor applications, UFoil insulation reflects up to 95% radiant heat and features a thermal performance that moisture and condensation will not alter.
This product has a corrosion-resistant coated, low-emissivity aluminium foil that is backed by a multi-layer air bubble film. In turn, it is designed to last. It can also be used on roofs and floors for boosting overall thermal performance.
The cavity wall ties for use with bubble/foil insulation include two designs with ends that pierce the material. Wall ties install the insulation flush against the blockwork while ties position it 25mm away. Ties come in three lengths for cavities from 60mm to 100mm. To prevent injury when installing, tie ends include safety features and they are made from stainless steel for corrosion resistance. They also feature multiple drips so that at least one drip is in the cavity. Plastic retaining clips also keep the insulation in position once fixed.
Horizontal joints are weather lapped. However, all vertical joints should be lapped and taped with aluminium adhesive tape.
