Wallint 50 by Klober serves as both an air barrier and vapour control layer, meeting the BS9250 requirements for the airtightness design of pitched roof ceilings. It is best used alongside Klober's airtightness products to reduce energy loss and prevents vast volumes of water vapour from entering construction from the interior, specifically during the drying-out period.
With a vapour resistance of 250MNs/g, it caters to the need for thicker insulation layers dictated by stricter Building Regulations. Consequently, the presence of an air barrier and vapour control layer on the warm side of the insulation becomes progressively crucial, and Wallint 50 has been specifically designed to fulfil this role.
While delivering support for insulation boards or quilts, Wallint 50 is suited to a range of applications: the inner face of an insulated roof, walls (including timber frame), and both cold and warm roof applications. It is also compatible with ceilings and rooms-in-the roof, and on the ceilings below uninhabitable lofts.
