Glidevale AH4 Part L loft hatches are push-up opening manufactured from injection-moulded polypropylene under BS EN ISO 9001 to meet the demands for the requirements of loft hatches as outlined in Building Regulations Approved Documents L and C. By meeting these requirements it’s certified that Glidevale AH4 push-up loft hatches offer high performance.
Twin latches and an anti-wind uplift mechanism protect the hatch itself as well as the contents of the loft space whether the hatch is for domestic or commercial buildings. This loft hatch from Glidevale can be locked with two security bolts.
Glidevale loft hatches offer a full loft hatch system which seals to the ceiling. The thermally insulated hatch continues the loft insulation or ceiling insulation to reduce heat loss. Seals also works towards reducing the risk of condensation as they reduce water vapour migration. The infill of insulation in the loft hatch offers 0.35 W/m2K but options to enhance the insulation to meet stricter requirements can be arranged by contacting us on 01752 692 206.

Question:
It looks like there are some latches missing from the frame of the AH4?
Answer:
The AH4 shares the same frame as the AH5 hinge-down trap. As such, whilst there are holes for latches to be attached, they are not required for the AH4 variant and cannot be added or purchased at a later date.
Question:
Why isn’t the door staying in place?
Answer:
When installing the AH4, the door of the hatch should be passed through the opening and dropped on top of the frame so the door is pushed into the loft space when entering.
Question:
What is the hatch made of and what colours does it come in?
Answer:
The hatch is made from injection-moulded polypropylene and comes with an anti-wind uplift catch. The hatch only come in a lightly textured scuff-resistant white finish.
