IKO's rigid Enertherm ALU is a lightweight insulation board with a rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam core, clad on both sides with a multi-layer gastight aluminium complex. This high-quality reflecting ALU cladding consists of no fewer than seven layers, combined into a single complex and is 100% CFC, HCFC or HFC-free.
Tested under stringent conditions for water absorption, mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and emissivity, this PIR insulation offers a lightweight, sustainable platform that reduces the thickness of building construction. This IKO Enertherm insulation allows for technical maintenance on solar panels, air condition units and other roof installations. This is due to its pressure resistance and shape retention so that no special equipment or other preparations are required as you can simply walk on top.
This PIR insulation can be easily combined with roof membranes and is dimensionally stable, remaining moisture insensitive in all kinds of weather conditions. In addition, this insulation sheet retains the same weight and does not shrink over time.
Typical applications for this universal rigid insulation board include insulating lofts, outside walls with closed joints, flat roofs with timber, concrete or steel decks, cavity walls, type nF pitched roofs with neutral felt and floors with underfloor heating and concrete construction.
