Description

Designed to support their range of underfloor heating mats, BodenWärme's Laminate & Wood Underlay Insulation with Aluminium Joint Tape comprises nineteen 5mm thick boards that will provide you with a total coverage of 9.7m². This underlay's high thermal properties ensure excellent insulation, which maximises the overall efficiency of your underfloor heating system, helping you to reduce running costs in your home.

Thanks to the built-in damp-proof barrier, this BodenWärme Laminate & Wood Underlay Insulation is suitable for both timber and concrete floors. However, when installing over a concrete floor, you must always seal the joints between the underlay boards with the aluminium tape provided.

This underlay's high compression strength protects the heating mat from damage by minor imperfections in the subfloor in light and heavily trafficked areas. And thanks to its anti-fungal and mildew-resistant properties, this BodenWärme Laminate & Wood Underlay Insulation is durable and long-lasting.

As well as having high thermal properties, this BodenWärme Laminate & Wood Underlay Insulation has good sound insulation properties with impact-sound reduction of up to 20dB, meaning loud noises and footsteps from rooms above are kept to a minimum.

Installation

These insulation boards can be easily cut with a sharp utility knife and require no specialist tools. And at only 5mm thick, these boards are incredibly lightweight and easy to carry and manoeuvre into position. All of this, makes them quick to install for both keen DIY enthusiasts and professional fitters.
