From Timloc, this metal access panel is manufactured from galvanised mild steel and it’s fire rated for up to 1 hour. The tough and durable access panel remains lightweight and will conceal electrical, plumbing and building services. Meeting Building Regulations Part J, this metal access panel in picture frame style is a convenient solution in applications where 1 hour of fire rating is required and where plastic access panels do not suit. Exova Warringtonfire has independently tested Timloc’s 1 hour fire rated access panels.
Polyester powder coated to RAL 9016 White, this metal access panel can be painted in any colour before or after installation. The picture frame surround will conceal the edge that has been cut out to ensure a clean line and attractive final finish. To coordinate with other metal access panels this panel from Timloc has universal door handing and a T-key lock. Inside the door is a layer of mineral wool insulation which offers some acoustic performance and insulating properties.
Timloc’s 1 hour fire rated metal access panel is also suited for concealed boiler flue inspection access as it meets the requirements of the gas safety industry. There are even more benefits as each access panel comes with additional fixing anchors for deep wall installations of up to 75mm.
