From SuperFOIL, this double-sided butyl overlap tape will improve the performance of insulation and breather membranes when used to seal overlaps and penetrations. Using this overlap tape with SF19BB, SFBB, SFTV and other SuperFOIL products will maximise performance by improving air tightness and water tightness.
Application is easy, even on textured surfaces, thanks to the high adhesion given by the high tack 3mm bead butyl tape. You get a tight seal to ensure high performance. To apply you must ensure the substrate is free from grease, loose material and frost then ensure it’s clean and dry. After this you can fix the tape onto the substrate, pressing down to get a good fix. When you introduce the second substrate, insulation or breather membrane, peel the backing paper off the tape and push firmly to get a secure adhesion to the second surface.
This 3mm x 10m butyl tape will seal overlaps and penetrations.
