The G249R half-hour fire-rated cavity closer from Manthorpe offers an unbeatable choice when protection against fire is a legal consideration. This single-flanged closer is well suited to rebated openings that require a fire stop to seal cavities and reveals. Comprising an enclosed box with uPVC extrusions around an insulated fibre core, this product not only helps reduce cold bridges, it acts as a thermal cavity closer, half-hour fire barrier and DPC. With an outer leaf at the exterior, the closer neatly slots in place and is suitable for installation in categories up to (and including) 'very severe' as defined in table 10 of BS5628 Part 3.
This product is designed with a unique compressible clip, which helps it to expand within the cavity to deliver a continuous seal to any width. Manufactured in four sizes, this fire-rated single flange is developed with a fibre insulating core offering a highly economical solution as a thermal cavity closer, DPC and a fire barrier.
