If you're looking for an excellent insulation solution for your external masonry cavity walls, search no further than these DriTherm® Cavity Slabs 37 which are crafted from water-repellent glass mineral wool. They offer unparalleled thermal performance, making them the ideal choice for full-fill cavity walls.
With their ability to entirely fill the cavity and non-combustibility, these Knauf DriTherm® slabs significantly reduce the risk of fire spreading and eliminate the need for cavity barriers. Not only do they have the highest rating of Euroclass A1 for reaction to fire, but they also use eco-friendly ECOSE® Technology that utilises a unique bio-based binder. Designed to fit seamlessly between wall ties, these slabs eradicate the need for retaining discs.
Certified by the British Board of Agrément (BBA) for use in buildings up to 12m high in any exposure zone, even in extremely severe environments, they can also be used in multi-storey structures up to 25m tall. They prevent moisture transmission across the cavity or below the damp proof course level and do not allow water transmission to the inner leaf.
Unlike rigid boards, these DriTherm® Cavity Slabs are easy to install and conform to the substrate's minor imperfections, knitting together to avoid any air gaps and maximise performance. They are simple and lightweight to handle and can be cut to size with ease. These slabs are also odourless, rot-proof and non-hygroscopic, resistant to fungi, bacteria or mould growth and will not sustain a vermin infestation. Additionally, they come in polythene packs for short-term protection.
