Isover Vario is a smart vapour barrier system specially designed by Isover to meet and exceed stringent Part L1A England and Wales Building Regulations as well as Section 6 Scottish Building Regulations. When this membrane is installed with other components of the Isover Vario system, this system will offer unrivalled airtightness and moisture management.
Isover Vario XtraSafe membrane adapts naturally to the climate that surrounds it to protect buildings from moisture build-up. The membrane also provides an airtight finish to the building envelope to help improve the energy efficiency of the building and to reduce running costs overall. During summer, Isover Vario XtraSafe membrane will absorb and diffuse around 25 times more moisture than it will in winter. This is thanks to a variable Sd value of between 0.3m – 25m.
Isover Vario XtraSafe membrane is tough, utilising a nylon layer to be three times stronger than standard polyethylene and to be extremely unlikely to tear or damage during installation. Resistant to winds up to 90mph, this membrane can help to meet PassivHaus standards in certain build-ups.
