Featuring a polypropylene fleece with a bitumen/glass fibre working layer and a mineral glass coating underneath, these Thermazone Torch-On boards are perfect for use with partially bonded torch-applied bituminous-based roofing applications including Icopal Profiles and Total Torch waterproofing systems.
Ideal for use over all sorts of structural decks, these Thermazone Torch-On insulation boards must always be laid over a vapour control layer. They are resistant to most greases, adhesives and oils, excluding those containing esters and ketones, as well as impervious to microbial and mould growth.
When used with the Icopal Total Torch and Profiles waterproofing installations, these insulation boards are secured by torch application which involves heating the stripes on the top surface of the vapour control layer to dissolve the thermofusible film and activate the bitumen stripes. Located onto the vapour control layer and pressed into the surface, these boards ensure a uniform and solid bond. They must be close-butted and placed staggered (broken joints).
