Wallboard

The Knauf wallboard is most commonly used for partitions, linings and ceilings, due to its versatility, strength and ease of use. Knauf wallboards are manufactured from the highest quality gypsum, and you can opt for tapered edges or square edges.

Sound reduction plasterboard

The Knauf sound panel has been designed to provide you with enhanced levels of sound performance, and a greater density which makes it suitable for residential applications or where a minimum of 10kg/m2 is required, and is suitable for direct decoration of plaster finish. Alternatively, for more industrial applications, such as schools and hospitals, you can opt for Soundshield Plus. As well as providing superior sound reduction, it also offers high fire and impact resistance.

Vapour & moisture resistant plasterboard

Knauf’s Vapour Panel has been designed with a metallised polyester film. This is specifically to create an effective barrier against vapour and moisture diffusion, making it ideal for lining external walls and roofs. Alternatively, for areas prone to high humidity such as kitchens and bathrooms, you can opt for the Knauf Moisture Panel, which has additives within the core to repel moisture.

Another option is the Knauf Aquapanel, which comes in both an Interior form and exterior form. Knauf Interior Aquapanel cement board is a tile backer that can be used in interior wet rooms such as bathrooms, showers and wet rooms. The Interior Aquapanel will not be affected by water, and is resistant to mould and mildew. The Knauf Aquapanel Exterior cement board can be used as a render substrate, and is a robust building panel that is weather and water resistant. The Aquapanel Exterior cement board offers all the benefits of a dry panel system with the strength of brick and block. Cutting Aquapanel is quick and easy, and both the interior and exterior Aquapanel products can be scored and snapped in order to create the correct sized panels. 

Fire resistant plasterboard

Knauf has also developed panels with improved fire resistance qualities. The Knauf Fire Panel will achieve up to an hours fire resistance with a single layer on each side of a Knauf Performer partition.
