How do I increase performance of my insulation?

When you’re purchasing insulation materials you can make your building work harder both thermally and acoustically by simply choosing the right products. If you’re considering using Celotex general purpose insulation boards for example, by choosing the FR5000 product range instead you can increase thermal performance and fire rating in your build.

Opt for Celotex FR5000 instead of general purpose boards

Replace ROCKWOOL RWA45 with ROCKWOOL RW3

ROCKWOOL RW3 absorbs more sound so will work harder overall as part of your building’s insulation. On top of this you can also request a water repellant grade to meet BP engineering standards. Choose SoundBoard 4 instead of SoundBoard 3

SoundBoard 4 can give you an additional 49 dB of sound reduction compared to its counterpart, which is a reduction in sound as loud as light traffic.
